Ready for our close-up!

Today Libi and I stayed around the house.

We had some wig fun...

Fabulous darling!

I was wearing the curly one, but Libi is good at sharing so we traded.

Our tile runway is Libi's stage-- and she calls it such!

When are you coming over for a performance??

When it was time to clean up, Libi got mad at me and declared: "No more pictures Mommy!"

In the evening we went to the Hart District Office to watch Ron receive an award.

Ron's Dad came too!

We had to have reserved seats because there were some MAJOR items on the agenda and therefore the room was packed!!

We got there super early to get a parking spot and Libi filled the waiting by dancing through the boardroom.

Ron was such a trooper-- the superintendent called him up and he was standing with his back to us, until he realized that this wouldn't make a good photo. He turned around just for me, I got the shot, we got a laugh, and then he turned back around.

After handshakes and getting his awards he did the perfect pose-- thanks babe!!!

Ron made sure to thank the newscaster and all of the parents for coming to support him-- what a guy!

Back to SCLP...

Tuesday means it's back to school!

Libi was a bit mopey today-- I think it was stressful on her to see my cry so much yesterday. Poor thing kept saying, "Don't cry Mommy, it's OK." I just couldn't explain it to her yet.

The toddler kids were using the basket ball hoop as a Maypole...

It made for some cute photos.

Miss Carol is encouraging Libi to practice her throwing and catching-- she's becoming quite good!

The kids are way obsessed with the potato bugs. Libi has been enjoying having them crawl on her hand.

A sad day...

I got word this morning that my Grandmom in Pennsylvania passed away. She has been ill for quite a while, but I wasn't prepared to get the call. Life had to go on....

so Libi and I went to host a MOPS coffee hour at Starbuck's.

Libi has really been enjoying tiny dolls lately (Polly Pocket sized dolls that you can dress and undress.) I think she will be very excited with her Easter gifts this year :)

On the way home we drove the cross-valley connector, a new road that connects Valencia to Canyon Country.

It has been under construction for years and finally opened last week. It was so cool to see the valley in a new way!

As a tribute to my Grandma here is her life in my favorite pictures.

She and my Grandfather made such a darling couple!

Along came the first two kids-- Uncle Bill is holding my Mom.

My grandparents proudly gave Mom away at her wedding. Love the 70's fashions.

Here I am-- the first grandchild!

This is the whole Harrigan family: Dad, Mom, me, Uncle Ed, Aunt Linda, Uncle Bill and his exwife, Great-Grandma, Grandmom, and Grandpa.

My grandmother made a ton of my clothes when I was little. She made this gorgeous dress for my kindergarten graduation. Luckily she saved most of these hand-made clothes and now Libi gets to wear them.

The family now includes my Uncle Mitch :)

I spent lots of vacations with my Grandmom. I always had lots of fun with her-- as you can see in this silly photo!

She also came to California often and we always went to Disneyland.

Grandmom had lots of hobbies-- she painted, knitted, crocheted, sewed-- you name it, she could make it!

Grandmom also came out for my high school graduation. She didn't actually get to see me graduation (neither did my Mom) but I will have to tell you this story another time.

Grandmom came out to California one last time for my wedding, but I can't find the photo at the moment. We took Libi back to meet her Great-Grandmom right around her first birthday.

Here is Grandma with all of her grand-daughters-- Liz, Morgan, me and Libs.

A little while later Mom, Libi and I went back for a visit.

We took another grand-daughter photo....

and one with Grandma and all her children-- Mom, Aunt Linda, Uncle Ed and Uncle Bill.

While we are sad that she isn't with us anymore we are thrilled that she is once again able to dance with my Grandpa after 25 years apart.

A brief visit...

Granpa came down for a super quick visit. He relieved Ron's parents and watched Libs during the choir reunion, spent the night, went to breakfast with us, and then drove home.

It was a really nice breakfast-- we even saw some old friends that I went to elementary school with. Time really does fly!

After Granpa left much silliness ensued!

The sisters managed to pose for some pictures together-- something very rare.

Daddy got in on the action...

and I did too! Love my girls!

Preschools and High Schools

This morning Libi and I were invited to Small World Preschool for their Family Fun Day.

It was a wonderful event full of tons of free and inexpensive stuff.

There was a petting zoo with the cutest baby goat.

He even let Miss Libs pet him. I didn't get a picture of the sheep which had an unhealthy fascination with Libi I was too busy making sure he didn't bite her cute little nose.

Libi was fingerprinted for the first time-- it was all digital so it was totally ink-free :)

The bouncy continues to be Libi's favorite place to be.

They had a make-your-own-frisbee craft...

and I think it turned out really cute!

In the evening Ron and I attended a special event, the first annual Canyon High School Choir Reunion.

This is what we looked like back in the day....

and here we are now :)

I think we all have aged spectacularly well!!!

This is Leah who played Ron's wife in Fiddler on the Roof-- I bet that many of you didn't know that Ron played Tevye in Fiddler his senior year. It was fun to have them reunited.

Lots of my favorite people made it from as far away as Florida. Here are some of my pals: Heather, Brian F., and Brian N.

Stiney and I have a million pics like this from a million years ago.

Where there are choir kids-- there is karaoke! At one point we got so loud that the cops were called. Hilarious in that when we were in high school we couldn't pay cops to show up at our events and now that we are all grown-ups with kids the police show up.

Grease got the entire choir gang singing!

I thought this photo was kind of funny-- three consecutive choir presidents. First there was Denelle, then me, followed by Brian. If you look closely you can see that I am proudly wearing my historian and president pins :)

It was quite a large group of really fun folks! I can't wait to see them all again next year.
