Our Stockton Favs...

Libi had two requests when she heard that we were going to Stockton:

1. We eat at Bob's on the Marina.

2. We visit Jammy's "friends" at the community.

So our first order of business on Sunday was to go to Bob's for brunch.

Libi enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching Guy cook.

She also took a spin in Daddy's sunglasses-- that's what happens when he leaves them on the table to get a soda!

Libs just loves being in Stockton and spending time with Jammy and Granpa.

What did Libi order, you ask? She asked Guy to make her "princess pancakes!" This was the best he could do. When they were placed in front of her she immediately said, "Ariel pancakes!" so it seems to have worked on her :)

Gotta love all of our family pictures on the delta!

In Jammy's office Libs was thrilled to find princess clings on the window. Happily we got to take them home with us so Libs could play with them.

Always one to join a party-- Libi joined in on Bingo.

She helped Pat win another round!! Later Pat shared her winnings with Libs-- yummy candy!

To round out the visit Libi helped one of the workers show their dog to the residents and then she danced through the room to entertain everyone.

A rainy travel day...

Sadly our Faery hunt that was scheduled for this morning was canceled due to rain! Luckily it allowed us to leave for Stockton a bit earlier than planned.

While Libi slept, Ron drove up the rainy 5 to the 99.

We made a potty and snack stop at Bravo Farms. This is one of our favorite stops because they have clean restrooms (with a little girl potty with the big girl potty in the handicap stall), yummy snacks, a gas station, and a petting farm!!!

I brought quarters with me this time so Libs could feed the animals, but the machine didn't work next to the donkeys.

The donkeys (and Libi) were very sad that it didn't work!

We had better luck with the goats!

Libs loved how it tickled when they took the feed out of her hand.

Libi's other favorite thing at this stop is the horsey ride. It lasts quite a while, so it's worth the 50 cents it costs and she has a blast!!!

Today Daddy bought us ice cream for a snack!! Libi really enjoyed her vanilla cone....

and Tobee was hoping she would share :)

Silly Tobee!!!!

Due to the weather (and an unscheduled trip to a Sam's Club in Fresno when we realized we forgot something) it took quite a while to get to Stockton so we all were a bit punchy!!! Libi put as many toys in her hat as she could and then put it on her head-- I'm glad she can entertain herself on these rides!

3 Year Check-Up

Friday morning Libi and I went downstairs and she immediately accessorized!

I love that she is expressing herself with her accouterments and allowing me to select her outfits. I'm not sure how much longer this will last, but I'm enjoying it for as long as it does.

In preparation for Libi's 3 year check-up both Ron and I have been reminding her about what things the doctor checks: your heart using a stethoscope, you have to say "Aah" for him to check your throat, they weight and measure you, etc. This morning I found her doing all of those things to Princess Tiana-- hopefully Libi will be as cooperative as Tiana was :)

Whenever we are in the house you will find Libi with a hat, bag, or jewelry on-- always trying to look like a princess. (Note the thousand and one dress up items strewn all over the floor and couch.)

Libs was so excited to be at Dr. V's office! I think it was mostly due to the memories of lollipops that he gives out to good boys and girls.

We didn't prepare Libs for a hearing test-- mostly because we didn't know she would have this test. It took her a little while to understand how to tell the nurse which ear the sounds were coming from, but once she got it she did great!

For those of you keeping track: Libi now weighs 40.5 pounds and is 40.75 inches tall!

They also did a vision test-- I think Libs enjoyed it!

Since most three year olds don't know their letters they use a picture chart. Libi's answers were very creative: She got the sailboat, thought the circle was an "O", and called the crescent moon a "banana!" It was good enough for them to determine that both her hearing and vision are normal for someone her age.

Dr. V took her blood pressure,

asked her lots of questions,

and gave her "inoculations"-- not shots!!!! She didn't cry one bit, we are very proud!!!

Thanks Dr. V for being a wonderful pediatrician-- with yummy lollipops!

Pajama Day...

It was PJ day at school today-- one of my favorites when I was teaching. Everyone is much more relaxed when they have their jammies on-- especially the teachers :)

For the occasion I bought Libs new monkey pajamas. She matched perfectly with Miss Tasha's monkey robe!

While Libs was playing hard at school I was working hard at home, but I did take a moment to enjoy our GORGEOUS weather!!! I spoke to Aunt Linda in Pennsylvania today and they are expecting a major snow-storm so I wanted to rub it in a bit more!

I did a major overhaul on the master bathroom-- a room that is quite over-looked. It's so easy to do since the only folks who see it are Ron and I (and occasionally Libs when she takes her tubby.) It is now gleaming and gorgeous thanks to some vigorous elbow grease.

When I got to school I noticed that Libs was doing some cleaning of her own. Miss Caroline remarked that she is a good scrubber-- perhaps I should use her talents more at home.

Miss Caroline couldn't find the stickers...

so she drew happy faces on each of the girl's hands. Super cool! Libi asked for a princess happy face-- huge surprise!!!

On a princess related note: yesterday Libi woke up and said to me, "Mommy I'm going to ask Santa for princess everything!" I guess she's getting her order in early this year so Santa has time to make everything princess-y.

The girls in Libs class had a pretend slumber party today-- I can't wait for her to have a real slumber party. What fun that will be!

Love, love, love this picture of these three sweet kids! See what I mean about being more relaxed?

They are spending tons of time on the cement-- Libs is especially fond of the sidewalk chalk. We will soon be breaking out some at the house.

During detox time before nap Libi played with her cars. This was the sight I found when came back from putting her down-- that's a nice parade of cars!

Daddy has been busy getting ready for CADA next week so he's been getting home late. Libi and I have filled the time playing princess, dressing up, and watching our favorite movie of the moment, "Enchanted." That Patrick Dempsey is quite yummy and watching it makes me miss my hubby less :)

However this princess and I are happiest when "Prince Charming" is home!

Laundry has been another focus of our lives as we prepare for our trip.

Libi makes it more fun by making the socks dance for us!
