Dancing in the rain

Last night we had major thunder and lightening storms and the rain continued into today, so the kids had to stay inside.

I got to get some cute photos of the kids singing the goodbye song as they longingly looked for their loved ones.

I am usually a total fuddy-duddy when it comes to Libs, but today I thought it would be fun for Liliana to dance in the rain.

It wasn't raining very hard, but the umbrella was a necessary accessory!

Since there was a bit of a drizzle (and I could only locate one umbrella) I had to get all the pictures from inside, but I think they came out alright.

We really should have worn boots for this, but we don't have any. Black shoes that are a bit too small had to suffice.

Libs truly did dance in the rain, to her own little made up song.

The clouds that have come over the hills have been breath-taking!

There was one little puddle that was good for a splash-- it was jumped in quite a bit.

Letting a little of the drizzle fall on her head before....

hot chocolate!

Libs requested marshmallows in hers-- I'm partial to whipped cream :)

A nice warming snack before nap-time.

In the evening I went to Clarice's for another cookie class. Tonight we made: a spider web, mitten, gingerbread house, present, sunflower, broom, leaf, cat, acorn, holly leaf, cauldron,

rice crispie football, and two little people. I love my evenings creating edible art!
