For those of you who don't know-- some marketing genius has nick named Valencia as Awesometown. This ridiculous name is now getting lots of use, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon.
The first truck we came to was Chef Ludo's chicken truck. Libi spotted the famous chef right away yelling, "He's from Top Chef Masters!" That's my girl :)
This was where we decided to grab our dinner.
The crowd was large and there were lots of unhappy campers! Some places (like Sprinkles cupcakes) sold out quickly, but we still enjoyed our time there.
Libs was a trooper! She really enjoyed her Awesometown pin and balloon.
As the night went on, we continued to wait in line for dinner.
After about a half hour of waiting Ron made it to the front of the line.
We feasted on amazing chicken, scrumptious fries, and the most delicious biscuits ever!!!
We hoofed it back to the car (which had to be parked a block away) and decided that we needed to have some dessert in the real Awesome Town-- aka Canyon Country :)
After having dinner cooked by a classically trained French chef we returned to our humble roots and settled on Thrifty ice cream.
Ron and I both have fond childhood memories of Thrifty ice cream-- although we remember it costing much less.
We think that this was Libi's first Thrifty experience...
