A Good Friday Adventure with Amy and the kids...

Amy had the day off so we packed up the kids and headed to Easter at the zoo.

Our kids are such a scream together-- here the zoo photographer is asking them to roar like lions.

We not only got to meet and pet bunnies, but the girls got to feed them.

We did some photos with the cutouts,

made some ears,

and then waited to see the Easter Bunny.

You see, last year I didn't see him and I felt bad about it....

so this year it was on my must-do list AND it was way more fun with all the kids!

The zoo was getting really crowded so we never made it past the meerkats. We took a quick spin through the children's zoo,

grabbed some free Peeps, and hopped in the car for a very long drive to Costa Mesa.

Why Costa Mesa??? Amy and I both bought Groupons for a scrapbook store there and they expired next week. We thought it would be a fun adventure to drive down, shop, maybe hit the beach. Well, let me tell you-- trying to do this on a holiday weekend was just too much!

We ended up having to bribe the kids with Peeps....

which neither Emma or Ben enjoyed! Ben gave his to Libi and Emma unhappily ate hers.

It took us nearly three hours to get home and by then we were all fried!!! We called the men and told them to meet us at ChiChi's for dinner. It was a fun day, but one that we will never repeat :)
