"Thank you Mommy for jumping!"

We spent most of the day playing in the air-conditioned house. Elmo likes to dress up almost as much as Libi...today she was a fairy! We were saving our energy for our big outing this evening. We went to Scooter's Jungle, a local indoor play place, to attend a fundraiser for Safe at Second. It is a group of gals I know from MOPS who are doing the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk in the fall. It was such a fun night and it benefited a great cause! Libi was pretty brave tonight trying new things like this bike merry-go-round.While she didn't go in the bouncy ball room, she did try on the goggles!Perhaps her favorite new thing was this little roller coaster...I think she rode it a dozen times! She even tried to learn air hockey and ping-pong--- Daddy would've been proud!!After a short break for a snack and some pizza we were back to...JUMPING!!!!Libi spent most of the night in this little bouncer in the corner. It had a little baskeball hoop, a hurdle to flop on, and mesh to make funny faces in! While she didn't go down the little slide in the jumper or on any of the big slides she had a great time!! For desset I allowed Libi to have some gummy candy-- this is a rare occasion and all the baked goods and snacks benefitted the cause! After one last glance in the silly mirrors we were back on our way home. We got to quickly chat with Daddy on our new web cam and then it was off to bed. We are really excited that Daddy is coming home today!! Let the second half of summer begin :)
