Mother's Day for Grammy....

Today we let Grammy choose her activities for Mother's Day. She decided to stay in the SCV and go to the Placerita Nature Center and out to dinner with the family. The first order of business was to check out the animal show in the butterfly garden. Libi decided to spy on what animals she was going to see. When we asked Libs to sit for the show she looked at us as if to say, "Aren't I the show??"The first animal was a red-tailed hawk. She was beautiful and we got really close up and personal with her.The talk got a little boring so Libs decided to play with Aunt Andrea.Next up was a tortoise-- he had feet like an elephant. The next animal was a little scary for Mommy....but Grammy didn't seem to mind the tarantula.Libs is way too brave-- she put her hand right out for it to say "Hello!"We saw an o'possom up close. Did you know that we only have o'possums in North America-- possoms live Australia and New Zealand! Now that's a face only a mother could love! The final animal was an owl...we got to meet him after the show...he even flew for Libi's picture.Cris also wanted her picture with the owl and I caught this picture of the owl winging her....PRICELESS!!!After a three hour nap for Ron and Libi we went to the Valencia Towne Center for dinner. While we waited Libi walked around with Grampy...and danced to the music.Happy Mother's Day Grammy!
