A zoo-pendous day...

Today we grabbed the Strassner's and headed to the L.A. Zoo. They now have photographers at the entrance and they took this picture of all of us.We also got a few of the kids together-- they are so sweet together!Emma and Ben are both so affectionate towards Libi-- like the big brother and sister she never had. Emma was especially darling, holding Libi's hand and even carrying her through out the zoo. They were getting the zoo ready for thier huge benefit that evening-- even some of our favorites got new accomodations. You can finally see the alligators in their new enclosure-- I just wish I knew where they moved my otters. The koalas were also very active today. The kids were all intrigued by the viewers-- notice Ben waiting his turn and Libi trying to help Emma up the steps. After seeing the chimps I got this photo of the kids coming down the stairs-- I love the point of view of this photo. The hippo was moving around today-- we saw him walk out of his pool and into the mud. It was a rare treat!!Even the tiger was awake-- he walked through the enclosure, growled at us, and played with his barrell. When we got to the tortoise Emma requested a picture with all four of them-- I hope this works for her :)One last stop for ice cream and then it was home for nap time. Love our days with the Strassner's!
