32nd trip to the Park

This morning we headed down to the Park to meet up with some MOPS friends. Sadly only one family was able to join us and we never caught up with them. We were excited to see the UP house between the two parks. They even had the sweet mailbox with Carl and Ellie's hand prints on it.Our first stop was DCA-- Libi requested a ride on Monster's Inc. but when we saw Manny we had to stop and say "Hi!"Characters were out in force today due to the crowds! We got to meet Mr. Incredible whom we had never seen before!Goofy was being, well goofy. Strolling around the backlot area and pausing quickly for photos!Woody was also hanging out-- which was very lucky for us! We were planning on eating in the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ just to see him, but when he showed up after a show in DCA we were able to change our lunch plans :)Mickey was right next to Woody-- talk about lucky! Libs loved getting a huge hug from her favorite mouse. After meeting all those friends we finally made it to the ride. Libi shared with me who are the characters were on the facade. They had some new videos inside the que area-- which was great for Ron and I since we are always looking for new things! After the ride we saw a cute show...starring Mickey, Woody and Cindy. We ran over to see Cindy after the show-- she was very sweet to Libi.Since Libs is fond of all things Pixar, we decided to try It's Tough to Be a Bug. Libi is quite familar with all of the Bug's Life characters. She was excited to see Flick, Hopper, and their buggy friends. She did flinch a bit when things came at her, but she happily sat through the whole show.

We went to Downtown Disney for lunch. While we were waiting for our yummy Italian food from Naples to arrive we asked Libi what she wanted to be when she grew up:

Mommy: What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher like Mommy and Daddy? A doctor like Dr. Vashistha?
Libi: I want to be a Nana!
Ron: That is a great thing to aspire to!

We both love our respective Nana's to death so we were quite pleased when Libi wants to grow up to be like them!!We bravely ventured into Disneyland after lunch. Right of the bat we got to meet Minnie! While I sat and reserved a seat for the parade Ron and Libi searched for a ride. The crowds were so bad-- Ron was inspired to take this picture for my blog to show you all how busy it was! While they were in the Tiki Room Libi fell asleep-- it was well past her nap time. We hoped that the parade noise would wake her up so she wouldn't miss anything and it did....She was a bit groggy at first....but when the singing and dancing began she perked right up.Libi was so excited to see so many of her favorite folks all in one place. She got to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Clarabelle Cow, Jesse, Woody, Mary Poppins, Bert, Pooh, Tigger, and so many others I will have to review the video to remember the rest!Libi didn't want to dance in the street, but when they handed her a drum she happily participated!Mommy wants a drum like this one-- it's a Remo drum with Goofy on it. They had them in all the Fab 5 characters-- it's now on my Christmas wish list!!Our main ride in Disneyland was the train. We had to wait about 20 minutes for it-- which gives you another indicaiton of just how busy it was today. While we waited, Libi and Ron had a great time making fishy faces at each other...here was Libi's best fish face!
After a full circle ride on the train we were done!!! Home to rest up for Grammy's birthday celebrations tomorrow.
