Tubby, Zoo and Cherries oh my!!!
This morning we threw Libs into a tubby-- she seemed to think that the pool was enough to keep her clean :)I haven't really showcased Tobee much lately, but she's here too! Watching everything that goes on and defending the homestead against evil (UPS men, kids on bikes-- you know forces of evil!)After she got out of the tub she posed for a few shots-- right before she flashed the camera. Luckily Jammy was saavy enough to delete it right away. After running around town doing some errands we made it to Micke's Grove Zoo.Libs was another symphony of coordination again today. We love this little zoo! The animals are close to the fences and they're all pretty active during the daytime.Libi really liked the iguana and she kept showing us what an iguana says (for those of you who are stumped they stick out their tongue and pull it back in, over and over!)There was something new this time-- lorakeets!!! Where the sea lions used to be there is now an aviary filled with about 40 lorakeets! Libs was a bit tentative at first...but soon she was chatting with them! They are gorgeous, but very loud and nippy!! I was wearing flip flops and they kept biting my toes!!There were so many to see that we spent a lot of time in there. After our bird encounter we moved on to the tortoises-- Libi gave hugs and kisses to the statue near the enclosure. It was very sweet!Talk about sweet... Jammy bought Libs two lorakeet finger puppets to play with. Her first order of business was to have them kiss each other and say "Hi friends!" and kiss them herself. We're so lucky she's such a sweet girl (most of the time!)After a very late nap Libs entertained us by dancing and singing on the hearth.Couldn't resist showing you her sheer volume!!!Despite all of the noise and chaos a 2 year old brings, I think Jammy and Granpa are enjoying our visit. The produce up here is just amazing!!! Things are picked and sold with-in a few feet of each other. We have had fresh strawberries, peaches, corn, watermelon, cherries-- are you drooling yet???No one has enjoyed this more than my daughter-- she has been caked in fruit at every meal! She ate so many cherries at dinner tonight, she died her hands maroon....but, that's what bathtubs and wipes are for :)
