Pandamania...

Today was day one of our vacation Bible school program called Pandamania, of which I am in charge.

We kicked it off in style with a musical jam session!

The kids really enjoyed our story...

especially the part were they got to dress up!

We made panda ears, ate snack, played games, and had a good first day!

At least Libi seems to think so!

Afterwards I was zonked! Happily we got to swim at Joyce's house one more time.

This time we even got Gizmo in the water-- poor dog!

Another crazy, busy day

Today the pods containing stuff from Grandmom and Uncle Bill's estates arrived.

It was great fun for all of us to watch them get unloaded on the mini fork lift.

While Ron and I unloaded the pods, Libi played with Daniel from down the street.

He attempted to show her how to ride on a scooter.

She quickly decided that a bike might be easier!

Daddy helped...

and in no time she was taking off!

She looks like such a big girl here...

is it wrong that I never want those training wheels to come off...

if they do she won't need Ron or I there to help her :(

Daniel was so sweet he even gave her a duck that quacked a song!

In the evening Ron and Libi went to Aida while I got stuff ready for VBS! Libi has now seen a musical that I haven't seen-- YIKES!

Ka-chow!!!

Tonight we journeyed to the El Cap to see Cars 2.

The movie was fun, but the real star of the evening was the play-land they built behind the theater.

Ben and Emma joined us for the evening!

The kids go to swing on a giant tire,

climb on tires,

color,

and even paint a car!

Yes, you heard me...

paint a car!!! What a very fun and messy thing to get to do!

They braved the slide as a group...

with Ben in the lead...

leaving the boys...

to come down together! What good sports they are!

We couldn't leave without getting some photos with the stars of the movie...

Mater...

and Lightening McQueen!

Don't forget group shots...

and family shots....

times two!

Our final activity was the trampoline...

which Libi LOVED!!!

What a fun night-- good friends, good movie, great time!

No fear!

Grammy is house-sitting for her friend Joyce who just happens to have a pool in her backyard.

We took advantage of it today...

and got our swim on!!!

Aunt Andrea and Aunt Violet came with us too!

Libi showed her fearless side today-- not only jumping in from the side of the pool...

but going down their big water slide!

She looked rigid and terrified...

and slightly unprepared for a water landing...

but she loved it!!!

She went back again...

and again...

and again...

each time with more confidence...

until she was actually coming down the slide!

Let Aunt Violet show her how a pro does it!
