-we stay in PJ's most of the day
-we cancel all of our appointments-- sorry Dolly and Nana & Pop
-we get to build things with blocks and destroy them with dinosaurs
-we try new things... like painting in the house!
Yup, you heard correctly-- we painted today!
We started with fruit and vegetable prints from our Preschool in a bag that Carrie gave us yesterday...
we used carrots, potatoes, dried blood orange slices, and a walnut shell...
until she realized that the brush was easier to maneuver!!!
She was clearly enjoying herself so I got brave and pulled out...
watercolors!!!
We had to work a bit on the order of it all: rinse brush in water, put in paint, then put brush to paper-- but she eventually got the hang of it!
Some of her strokes looked very much like Chinese characters. What a little talent we have!Here's a video of Picasso enjoying herself! Hopefully we will be making many masterpieces to share with family and friends.
On a side note: the smock that Libi is wearing is one I wore as a child. It's so cool that Mom saved so many of my things!
