Yesterday I put up an art gallery in the family room. Libs enjoyed seeing all of her masterpieces displayed for all to admire! I know this will get a lot of use as we head into preschool in the Fall. This morning we had a special treat at music class... Miss Katie was our teacher for the day. Miss Moira did show up a little later, but we really enjoyed our time with Miss Katie!Libs really likes the "I'm Hiding" song-- which ends with a really LOUD....BOO!!!!!! I am so proud of Libi's musical abilities. She is soaking up songs and rhythms like a sponge. I know that I am a bit biased, but she has a real aptitude for music and that makes me smile!
This is another song that Libi loves called "I Can Do What You Do"-- it's basically a call and response song that uses what the kids are doing. Today Libi was the only person to participate so her name was said a lot!!After music class we met up with some MOPS friends at a new parkcalled Valencia Meadows (well it was new to us!)They had two nice dinosaurs to play with...and lots of sand!!! It was a bit hot-- hence the pouty face-- but we still had fun!Missy and Libi were in the same Moppet class together this year and they became little pals!It was so sweet to see them play together and share their snacks. Poor Missy couldn't play too hard-- she broke her arm last week on a slide.
This evening Ron and I went on a date. We had a great time at Chili's, Target, Staples and Menchie's. You probably recognize all of the stores but the last one-- it is a new frozen yogurt place in Canyon Country that is really uniqe. They have 12 different flavors every day and you pour your own yogurt and spoon your own toppings. They charge you by the net weight of your creation-- very interesting and really good!!!
While we were out Libs spent time with Grammy and Grampy-- doing Luck-a-Lucks, horsey and foot fights. Before they left Libs tried to fill Mommy's shoes, but she still has a way to go before that happens!
