This weekend we said goodbye to the crib....
and hello to the big-girl bed! We had some trouble with the transition though.... we originally thought the crib converted to a twin sized bed, but SURPRISE, it was a full!!! Since we didn't get a mattress on Saturday Libi had to sleep...
in a makeshift bed! We put her cottage inside the frame with her crib mattress to make it more like camping.
Fortunately she had a sense of adventure so she went for it!
We were super lucky that she didn't freak at that stage of the game!
Sunday morning Daddy and Granpa went to buy a mattress!
So Sunday night was the first OFFICIAL night in the bed!
We decided on basic pink for right now-- Libs will get to choose her own linnens soon enough.
Libs wore new PJ's from Jammy and Granpa for her first night!
Daddy read "Bunnies on the Go!" It was so nice to be able to read in Libi's room and not have to go to the guest room!
Then it was tuck-in time!!She did get out of bed four or five times the first two nights, but she settled in really well. Monday night she woke up about 3 a.m. and came into our room. She poked Ron until he woke up, then she said, "Diaper change Daddy". Ron took her, changed her, and put her back in bed where she stayed until morning! Today (Wednesday) she didn't get out of bed until 6 a.m. when she crawled into our bed and went back to sleep! I'm loving this big girl bed!!!
