Sunday with friends
We were lucky enough today to get to spend some time with my cousin Stacy and her son Cooper. They live in Monterey and we don't get to see them often.Cooper is only a few months older than Libi so they played together really well.As a special treat we had doughnuts for the kiddos...Libi was only interested in the frosting and Cooper only wanted to play with our cars.We were fortunate that it was a sunny day-- we have been deep in June gloom here. The lighting was great for Jammy to take some really neat pictures. The most popular activity was playing with balls-- big and little.Libi decided that she wanted to dance with Cooper-- apparently when she wants to dance you just have to go with it.Cooper enjoyed it for a moment, but when Libi wouldn't let go he wasn't a happy camper-- who can blame him???We put the kids on chairs for some portrait time...and hugging went along with it!When it was time for them to leave Libs wasn't too happy-- she also wasn't very gracious when I gave Cooper a set of Toy Story toys to take home. She bucked up when we told her that after nap time we'd be going to Nana and Pop's house.Libs was thrilled that Nana and Pop got her a new toy playset for her bunnies to play on.She spent most of the night making them ride the teeter-totter, sliding down the slide or swinging on the swing-- such a fun toy! When Daddy took her shoes off during a diaper change, Lou threw a major fit....see???? When she gets her mind set on something, she doesn't like to not get her way. Luckily for her that her grandparents and great-grandparents over-ruled Daddy and let her put her shoes back on. I still agree with Ron that if she was going to be getting up on the sofa that she shouldn't have had shoes on, but what are you going to do??Nana got some new spoons for Libi to "cook" with. She loves their house because they always let her play with kitchen tools to bake imaginary cookies for all of us! What a fun-filled summer day!
