Back to School...

When we arrived at school we found a cute little mouse on the wall-- it didn't have a contribution from Libs. When I asked her if she took a guess about the book she told me she did. I guess this mouse just ran out of whiskers.

They put some cute photos they took last week on display. Here is Libs during snack time.

She went straight into the room and started playing-- I think she's getting more comfortable.

Libi really enjoyed the apple prints today-- she made a darling painted apple!

At the end of the day Libi asked Miss Leslie why her prediction wasn't on the poster. She corrected the situation right away! So, what would Libi do if a mouse came to her class: "Chase it with a broom!"

While I chatted with some parents Libs danced away...

she wore her flag shirt as a carry over from Patriot Day yesterday...

which went perfectly with our Veteran's Park! It was adorned with flags for victims of 9/11.

Patriot Day...

This morning I kicked off the Sunday School year with a widely attended parent meeting...

actually, it really was myself and four parents but it went well!

Libi had a blast in her class with her teacher, Mr. Peter!

All in all it was a great first day!!! We had happy teachers in every classroom and around 50 kids. As word travels about the great things we have going, I know our numbers are going to grow!!

After a nap for Libi-- and some tutoring for Ron and I--- we headed to Cris and Ron's house.

It was a fun dinner with the whole family!

Afterwards we gave Grammy and Grampy their Grandparent's Day gift...

we all enjoyed it before...

tickle time AND...

luck-a-lucks!

Libi and Grampy have been doing this since she was little....

she is now quite a bit bigger and heavier!

We tried for a grandparent photo....

but couldn't get everyone to smile at the same time. Oh well, they are still cute!

Craziness!!!

Our first day of Sunday School is tomorrow, so today was a whirlwind of activity! I think I am ready--- let's hope :)

In all the activity, we didn't take photos until bed-time.

Here's what happens when I bring the camera upstairs and ask Ron to take a few shots:

the happy Ron...

the confused Ron....

Ron with Libi's bathroom?

I stole the camera back during story time and took a real shot of things that happen nightly-- Daddy and daughter enjoying a book before bed.

Football Friday!

We are all happy it is Friday!!!

While we waited for the classroom to open we were greatly entertained by two squirrels who chased one another all over the yard.

So many different activities to choose from.

At the end of the day, she's still smiling-- that's my girl :)

After nap we met up with Daddy who was announcing a Wild Cat football game at Valencia High School.

It was fun being at a high school game again!

Libi took with her the pom-poms she was given by the cheer adviser-- she was ready to go!

Games at The Ranch are fun...

a great marching band,

paw-print necklaces,

and a cool wild cat mascot!

Libs did everything the cheer leaders did!

We even got to meet a few of the girls.

It's a good thing she likes the games, since Daddy is announcing at a few more this season!

She managed to cheer the Wildcats on to a 41-7 victory.

As we left, Libi got to stand on a cheer box. She better enjoy it now, since she won't ever be a cheerleader in high school ;)

Our first share day...

Libi chose to bring her Ariel Barbie to school today to share with her friends.

While we wait for the doors to open, we hang out in Mommy's new office, aka my Hide-y Hole!

Libs got to do the flag today, much to her delight.

We attempted to meet Daddy for lunch at a food truck which was visiting Santa Clarita. It was way too hot to wait in the hour long line for a burger, so we went to Red Robin and sat in the air conditioning :)

While Daddy was at Back to School Night, Libs and I went to have dinner with Pop.

After our customary French bread pizza...

Libs and Pop headed out to find some flowers.

Libi also talked Pop into picking her an orange-- he's such a sucker for his great-granddaughter!
