Halloween Parade

This morning we got Libi in her Princess Tiana dress, lovingly crafted by Jammy...

and got ready for the SCLP Halloween parade.

Hang loose everyone :)

Here is Libs with her two favorite school girls-- Faith and Madison aka Belle and Alice!

I didn't even recognize Miss Caroline at first-- her old lady costume was awesome!!!

There were two Tiana's-- Libi and Solea.

The kids marched in and the parade began!

The teachers all got into the spirit!

I was responsible for taking pictures of every child in the parade-- I did a great job on everyone but Libi.

Thankfully Jammy was there to save the day!

The kids went on a spooky walk-- a fun song that is played on a record player.

Yup, our school is old school :)

The kids trick-or-treated around the school...

Granpa helped out and manned one of the doors.

The Hootin' Owl group picture was a challenge to take, but I happen to like having crying kids in a group picture.

Grammy and Grampy came to the parade too!

Libi was blessed to have all 4 grandparents there!

Thanks to Jammy and Granpa for helping out this morning.

Libi wanted to introduce her grandparents to all her friends. Very sweet.

After a nap and a quick change we were off to Nana and Pop's for dinner.

Daddy was a little late getting home from the dance, so we had an impromptu photo shoot in the yard.

One happy picture...

and a silly one to balance it out.

At Nana and Pop's she drew a pumpkin-- I think it's fabulous!

From the look on her face, she is pretty proud of herself too.

Since we won't be seeing Nana and Pop on Halloween we brought all of her costumes for a fashion show.

Once the Tiana dress went on, Libs didn't want to take it off.

Love the picture with Pop!!!

While modeling her costumes for Nana she got very in character and danced with Daddy (aka Prince Naveen.)

It is always fun when Granpa and Jammy visit...

especially for Mommy who hands over the mundane tasks like sock-putting-on to Jammy :)

In the Halloween spirit...

We continued wearing our Halloween finest today.

Libi looked darling in this orange shirt and shirt/pants ensemble.

I'm not a cat person in real life, but this kitty is pretty darling!

The weather has been gorgeous

so the kids get to play outside! That makes for happy kids and happy teachers.

This picture cracked me up. When time was called she sat down on this ball but then walked away from it instead of putting it away. The kids usually fight over who is going to put the balls away, so that's why I figured she sat on it. I guess she just needed a momentary rest!

The school brings pumpkins in for the kids every year.

Libi picked this one to take home.

Ron and I stole away for a quick date before all of the Halloween/funeral craziness. We had a nice quiet dinner at Don Cuco's. Our poor waiter had to wait forever for our order while we chatted and sat catatonic for a bit :) Once we explained that we have a three-year-old, he understood!

Libi spent the evening with Grammy and Grampy watching a very strange show on YouTube.

Libi loves evenings at their house-- so many fun things to do...

and candy too!

Playtime!

There was lots of cleaning and crafting to be done today...

so we spent part of our day up in the studio.

Libi is getting really good with the scissors-- those are all her cuts on that paper. (Please ignore the tongue-- a silly pose was the best one to show you her cutting skills!)

I was in the other room folding laundry and I came in to find Libs in her princess heels telling stories using markers as the characters. Love that imagination!!!

All around town...

Today Libs began wearing her Halloween attire at school.

This was her attempt to catch a ball thrown by Miss Carole-- her hands look more like she's getting her communion wafer than she's getting ready to catch a ball. I guess we need to work on that!

Poor Libs trying to freeze while stuck in the play equipment.

In the afternoon we made a very late visit to the pumpkin patch. Better late than never right?

Happily there were still lots of pumpkins at Lomabardi's!

Libi was very much looking forward to picking the perfect pumpkin to make into a jack-o-lantern.

The animals were a nice surprise for her-- she forgot they were there. I was equally surprised when she gave the donkey a kiss! Yuck!

There are a few things you must do while you are at Lombardi's:

1. Take a cheesy picture in a cut-out.

2. Examine at least a thousand pumpkins-- big and small.

3. Take a photo by the large jack-o-lantern.

4. Ride the train.

(Actually this was our first time on the train. It was fun but pretty expensive!)

5. Go to jail!

(or pretend you are for a picture or two!)

6. Go inside the other jack-o-lantern...

and stick your head out through the nose.

7.

Climb the hay pyramid.

8. See lots of friends. We saw Miss Sabrina and her family, Ron saw lots of students, and Lisa, Cora, and Violet were there too. This photo cracks me up because the girls are only about 3 months apart, but Libi looks so much taller than Cora.

We also bumped into Faith and Sydney from preschool. Libi just LOVES Faith!

9. Call every pumpkin "Cute" but pick up the first one you see to take home.

10. Load up the wagon...

and try to pull it.

11. Have one final photo taken to see how many pumpkins tall you are.

That's what makes a great day at Lombardi's!

One of our MOPS/PC friends school was having a fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese's, so we made a quick stop to support them.

Libi got to dance with Chuck E. himself! At the end of the song her threw out lots of tickets... FUN!

They have some new rides since we were there last...

Libi really enjoyed this one!

We all made photo cards...

Ron's came out as a fire fighter, Libi was a movie star, and I was a princess-- but you knew that already ;)
