Getting ready...

Today MOPS was a total blur. They announced the new co-chairs for next year and secret sisters were revealed. Moppets had fun blowing bubbles and playing outside.

After that we ran over to Sing, Sign and Play where Libi takes her music class. I was attending a meeting regarding teaching there next year. By the time I left forty minutes later I was hired and will begin apprenticing next week. It all happened very fast and I'm not even sure that I said I would work, but I'm now on the schedule :)

A quick nap time then Ron and I were off to the pre-departure meeting for the East Coast trip.We had a nice dinner with our rep. Twila to discuss all the last minute details before we met with the kids.Yes, I am chaperoning the trip this year after a two year hiatus. I am very much looking forward to seeing the sites of New York, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Washington D.C. (and bringing home fun toys for Libs!) I am also looking forward to undivided time with my husband... and 40 kids :)Tonight I got to help Ron get all the paperwork and tips organized-- it was nice to use some of my organizational tallents and get to handle oodles of money for a change.

We are happy to report that Jammy and Granpa are home safely! It was nice to have them stay with us for so long, but I know that they were looking forward to being home.

A day with the Pee-Pee Princess....

Libi has been spending a lot of time with Jammy and Granpa this week-- so she is beginning to sound like them. Today she informed Jammy that the "Pee-Pee Princess had stinky pants!" That is a name that only Jammy calls her and now she has adopted it for herself. I'm just hoping that she doesn't introduce herself by this name when she starts preschool in the fall! What do you wear when you eat breakfast in the morning? In our house a tiara is standard attire for eating oranges and waffles. After breakfast it is customary to put the tiara on Granpa and call him "Silly!" Don't you wish you lived at our house? We got to show Jammy the new Target today. Libs went out sporting two pig tails which blew all over in the wind.Little Mischievious has gotten into quite a bit of trouble today. When we would warn her that she was doing something she wasn't supposed to do she would simply say, "Again?" and smile her silky smile. The only time Libs was quiet today was during a super long nap. Granpa took this awesome picture that makes her look so angelic!!!While I was scrapbooking with my pals, Libs spent some quality time with Jammy and Granpa before they leave tomorrow. She always asks Granpa to show her Lincolns on his computer and he manages to oblige.

Here's hoping that the sugar high Libs is on right now thanks to Jammy will wear off soon so she can get to bed!

Sunday silliness...

Sunday was a really quiet day in the Ippolito house. Libs enjoyed spending most of the day in her jammies, relaxing with Jammy and Granpa. She did give encouragement to Daddy as he cut the lawn. She kept saying, "Hi Daddy! Hi Tobee! Hi Granpa!" as they worked in the yard.In the evening Dolly and Lucas came over for tutoring and Libs was tickled to watch Wall-E with her friend Dolly. Libs had to show Jammy her wrinkly fingers and toes at the end of tubby time. Finally, everyone's clean and ready for bed!

Princesses, Jammy and Farrell's.... Oh my!!!

Today we went to Shelby's princess party. Libi decided to go as the pink princess-- she was given a choice of that or Snow White.Ron and I also went in character (well, I went purposefully-- Ron was roped into it once we got there!) I wore my best queen's crown and pink jewels. Ron wore Libi's cast off tiara like a trooper! We had a great time playing with our new friends and eating the yummy cake!It was a nice morning with friends!
After a nap and some time hanging out with Jammy who drove back from Stockton we met up with the Strassners at Farrell's! Yes, it still exists!!After a brief mishap with a cup of water-- notice Libs soggy bum-- and all of her crayons rolling off the slanted table it was time for.....a clown sundae!!! It was Libi's first but I'm sure it won't be her last.It came highly recommended by both Ben and Emma who also got one. It was so nice to see our good pals the Strassner's again-- even if I was a bit confused when I first got Amy's text message. To burn off the ice cream Ron and I stayed to play at Mountasia. We let Libs ride the tractor, the carousel and try her hand at some of the games. I think she pushed every button and tried to grab every flashing light in the place.Ron also introduced Libs to our favorite game, Skeeball!!! Libs wasn't very good-- it takes practice-- we had to duck to get out of the way of her throwing the balls!!!Thanks to Daddy's skill we were able to earn some tickets and get prizes!!! Libs cashed in her 75 tickets for a glittery bracelet and kazoo. A good time was had by all!

No, Okay!!!!

This seems to be Libi's favorite phrase of the moment. I think it is her way of thinking about things... when you ask her a question that she's not super hot on she'll reply with, "No..........Okay!" It's really funny to hear her say this a dozen times a day.Tonight we took Granpa for his Friday night burger-- we're sad that it couldn't be at Bob's on the Marina, but Dink's in Valencia is a close second.

My very literal girl was eating chicken stips (which she ordered by name at the counter!) She noticed that Daddy had catchup so she asked for some for her chicken. She dipped, then sucked the sauce off, then dipped again. Mommy said that this wasn't the way that you should dip your chicken-- you only get one dip per piece of chicken. Libi then proceeded to tear all of her chicken strips into tiny little pieces so she could dip and suck more catchup. What a crack up!!! I'm going to have to watch out for her.In this photo Libi is trying to get Granpa to be in a picture by himself-- is she an activities director in training or what? She wants it her way... just like Daddy! Our big girl is now getting herself into and out of her carseat. She only needs me to buckle her in. While this big girl step is welcome on days when my hands are full it makes me a little sad because she is becoming so independent!

Fun at the house...

While Jammy left this morning to pick up some things from Stockton, we got to play with Granpa! After a short trip to Sam's Club to grab some necessities and a nap (for both Libi and Granpa) I found Libi playing with Granpa.I thought that she was giving him a back-rub but they were playing the up and down game. Libi was (gently) pushing Granpa up and down while saying the proper words. The game concluded with a big hug! We are so glad Granpa is feeling so much better! To finish the day we had tubby time. Libs was really interested in her fishing pole today...especially the WORM on the end! This is a picture of her saying "Worm" in her big, deep voice.Daddy and Libs enjoyed a few moments of bonding while I came downstairs to blog.

I hope that folks who are reading about our life are enjoying our everyday adventures. I know that not every day is eventful, but every day is important to my little girl and I want her to remember all of the simple and special things she has done.

Skipper mania!!!!

After a very quiet day at the house (Nana and Pop canceled our lunch today) we headed to Skipper Club. Libs woke up a bit grumpy, but she soon snapped out of it.We took a group picture with all of the Pioneer Club kids...See the million and one kids with my 2 and 3 year olds in the front???Notice that my daughter decided to be front and center-- she wanted to be the focal point of the photograph. Here is the whole gang! What a nice looking bunch. We then did pictures of each of our little darlings-- the most uncooperative???? LIBI!!!!Here are my cohorts in this adventure: Miss Rebecca and Miss Michele. I wouldn't be enjoying this half as much as I am without the two of them.... and of course our unofficial helper, Mr. Ron!After the club we went to Rattlers for dinner. Ron's daughter (mine would never do anything like this) ate a raw onion slice! She chomped right into it just like she did the tomato-- gross!!! It was totally surprising, but now she stinks like an onion.... tubby time!
