Spring has once again come to Little People...
today they released butterflies!
The kids loved watching them fly around after they were released out of the net.
It figures that right after we finish swimming the weather turns gorgeous and warm.
For share Libi took Ariel and Eric-- they had to go together since they are a set.
and decorated our flamingos...
and were just silly in the backyard.
Ron also decided to get silly by shaving himself a Clark Gable mustache.
Ron and Gina took their elective kids to Universal today...
so Libi and I tagged along.
It was her first visit and she was excited to meet some new characters. We found E.B.,
Curious George,
Dora,
Fieval,
Winnie Woodpecker,
Woody,
Spongebob Squarepants,
and Shrek.
Libi even posed with Jaws-- as long as Daddy was next to him :)
Our first "ride" of the day was the tram ride.
Everyone was excited when it started...
but after the 3-D King Kong experience Libi was not as certain.
We warned her about Jaws, but I think he didn't help things much. By the earthquake ride through she wanted to get off...
she did enjoy seeing all of the Grinch Stole Christmas facades.
The one and only thing that Libi insisted on doing was the animal show.
It was exactly as I remembered! She loved it!
We had to try the Simpson's ride, since Daddy and Grampy are so fond of the Simpson's.
We were lucky enough to see some of the characters before the ride. Marge, Lisa,
Homer,
and a mischievous Bart all greeted us before the ride.
It was a really wild ride which Libi didn't like-- it made me feel nauseous!
Libi has now done Universal and it would be fine with me if we never did it again- we truly are Disney people :)
The weather has turned, but it is still decidedly spring.
Today at school I got to witness the ladybug release...
it was such a fun thing for the kids to watch.
In the evening Ron and I had to head out so Grammy watched Cousin Bridget and Libi.
She bought a really fun sprinkler...
and had the girls go through it.
After Libi ran through I noticed that her footprints left a little heart. Everyone say, "Aw!"
Even with the age difference, these two get along swimmingly!
This morning we met up with...
Hailey, Madison and Aunty Janice at the park.
It was such a gorgeous day for the girls to run and play!
Look at this little missy-- it was the first time I've met her and she is darling!
Hailey enjoys dancing as much as Libs-- especially on top of the hill!
It was so nice to spend some quality time with my high school "sister!"
Play-doh has made a comeback at the house....
My daughter only wants to wear dresses these days. I guess there are worse things she could want.
We have been having lots of "Barbie" parties at the house. Today they all were in the pool together-- looked like fun!
