Monday back at the ranch....

Monday means it's time for dance class.

Admittedly I wasn't super keen on going today, but Libi was so excited about it.

Libi was an especially good helper today. She gave away her bear from the teddy bear song twice: once to a little girl who was crying and when that little girl's mom said she couldn't have it she gave it to Miss Cheryl Ann who didn't have a bear either.

I simply love this picture-- it just shows you her exuberance for dancing!!

They are working much more on form in class these days.

Libi is doing her best to point her toes.

The ribbon twirlies are still super popular with the class.

Look at them all standing on one leg-- very fancy.

Libi decided to do some twirling on her own in the corner.

While the pom poms were being passed out Libi spent some time at the mirror-- very Chorus Line of her!

My daughter has pretty good foot-work!

Shake it baby!! We are now half-way through dance class and we have decided that Libi won't be doing the recital. I know she will be sad when class ends, but we might continue in January.

Pumpkin Patch, Snow and a long, long drive

While Ron was wrapping up his meetings, I was preparing for the drive home. I packed up the luggage, loaded the car and headed out to get gas. On the way to Sam's Club I saw a scrapbook store, so I stopped. I was approached by an old man who resembled Santa Claus who said to me, "You know your front right tire is totally flat right?" I had no clue, so I skipped the scrapbook store and drove to Sam's Club for a tire repair.

The tire man was very nice and he fixed it free of charge. Ron grabbed a cab and met me so we could leave straight from the gas station.

Here is one final look at our hotel-- we will see you again in March for convention!

As we drove through the pass it snowed pretty hard.

You can see the chilly temperature in this picture-- love this wintry weather!!!

While we were taking quite a long time getting home, Libi was having fun at the pumpkin patch.

She looked so sweet in her little pumpkin hat!

Even though they didn't get to the huge pumpkin patch that Jammy wanted to take Libi to, it looks like they had a good time.

I will save this picture for next year when Libi is a Hootin' Owl at school :)

I love that my girl can be just as happy with trucks and tractors and she is with dolls and princess clothes.

Libi is so lucky to have such fun grandparents!

Thanks a million Jammy and Granpa for watching Libi while we were away!

A busy day in Reno and hanging with Granpa

Ron spent his days in Reno with this fun bunch.

While he did that I was either playing penny slots, shopping on behalf of Santa, or...

watching a storm move in from the comfort of our room.

Here it is!

For CADA board events the spouses get to join in for all of the meals. Our most special dinner was at this darling restaurant.

Here's our picture inside the restaurant. We were quite ribbed about all of our self-portraits, but we took it in stride!

While we were in Reno, Libi spent lots of quality time with Granpa.

Poor Jammy had to put out lots of fires at her facility this weekend, so she got called away a lot.

Luckily Jammy was able to go to Bob's for breakfast!

After a hearty breakfast Granpa took Libi out to see the boats and she got to touch a fish.

Libi began her nap in a bed, but then she got up for a bit and Granpa found her here.

This was how Jammy found the two when she got home-- so sweet!

Only at Jammy and Granpa's house can Libi get an ice cream cake whenever she wants!

Yum!!

Ron's first CADA Board meeting

Ron was thrilled to join the CADA State Board of Directors, and we both had a great time going to Reno for his first board meeting. We woke up early, drove from Stockton to Reno, and Ron was in meetings all day. He is normally quite the shutterbug at CADA events, but he was so anxious to make a good impression that we only took one photo all day, and here it is!

Sadly, Mom was so crazy taking care of Libi and lots of nonsense at her facility that she didn't take any pictures-- so this really is it. Enjoy!

Welcome to October!

Today my little monkey went to school today in her cutest little monkey shirt.
She wanted to take pictures by her tree before we left, but it was very windy!
She was a little monkey head to toe-- love the monkey leggings. To quote Rachel Zoe (a show on Bravo that I love)-- "They are bananas!!"
I love the tilted head pose-- this is very model inspired. I suppose all of the Project Runway and Rachel Zoe is rubbing off on her. When I arrived at school they were still working.Miss Sabrina decided it was the perfect day to plant corn. Some of the parents were upset that the kids weren't ready to go... I felt like I had hit the jackpot I got to take a picture of a lesson!!!I love this shot of Libi, Noelle, and another little boy-- they sure do focus on a camera.Miss Tasha helped Libi plant her three corn seeds-- difficult to photograph but cute to watch. We packed up the car once Daddy got home and headed toward Stockton. It didn't even take 10 miles before Libi was out. After an hour stuck in Grapevine traffic, a very depressing musical, and a daughter saying "No!" every time Ron and I began to sing a song....we arrived in Stockton! Jammy was very happy to see us!To complete a very monkey day Libi modeled her monkey PJ's from Aunt Andrea.Despite the fact that she was tired, she was very goofy! Now off to bed for all of us-- busy day tomorrow!
