A fun day with Jammy and Granpa

This morning we lazed around and played with blocks.We are all enjoying the great weather and fun perks of being in Stockton (read: no little person waking Ron and I up in the middle of the night!)Ron was super excited because Bob's was open for breakfast-- and they serve burgers all day!!!I just love this photo-- Libi was pulling her grandparents to get it, but it came out cute!While Ron and I had burgers, Libs went the breakfast route and had a monster pancake!The after Bob's tradition continues as we took a walk on the docks to look at the boats.This boat was especially cool because it had a baby duck on the back.Libs wanted to swim here too, but I convinced her that this water wasn't clean enough for swimming.AWWWW!! A father and daughter shot in front of the "Love Me Tender"-- Elvis' boat.Jammy insisted on more photos before we left...Grrrrr!I was happy that I got a cute one of Libi and her grandparents-- I don't take enough pictures of her with either set of grandparents.After a nap...Libi and Granpa spent some quality coloring time.Another thing we love about Stockton is their produce!Yippee for another fun visit to Stockton.

Visiting Rob and Valerie...

Libi was itching to do some swimming while we were in Stockton.... Luckily Rob and Valerie had a pool and generously allowed us to use it.Miss Karen did a great job-- look at Libs go!!The pool was a bit chilly...but Libs just wanted to keep swimming.Jammy bought Libs a new set of rings (since Mommy forgot her orange one at home!)Libs had a hard time getting her bum down to get them from the bottom, but the ones that floated were fun!Granpa was really impressed with Libi's swimming skills :) High five!Bouncy dog was anxious for Ron and Libi to get out of the pool...because she wanted to play!!Rob and Valerie's house was so fun! They also have a beautiful garden and they let Libs pick some tomatoes.

It was such an amazing dinner: pork, pesto pasta, bread, and home-grown cantaloupe! A huge thank you to Rob and Valerie for their hospitality!

"Try again lady!"

This quote was said by Libs this morning as she played in the corner of the family room. I'm not sure where it came from, but it made me laugh :)After some morning playtime we got dressed and headed to a MOPS communications meeting.The kids enjoyed the doughnuts and the Mom's enjoyed the few moments to chat about our upcoming responsibilities.We ran home and packed up the car for our trip to Stockton. We realized that we forgot to take August pictures of Libi with her wagon, so I threw her in the outfit she wore on her first day of school for a photo shoot. Jammy's book can know stay current :)We drove across town, grabbed Ron and headed up the 99. We made a brief potty stop at Bravo Farms south of Fresno.Libs loved the cool gift shop, riding the tractor, and the newest addition...a petting zoo!!!!We spent a few moments feeding (and talking to) the goats before we continued our trek!Tobee and Libi were both thrilled to arrive at Jammy and Granpa's house. The first order of business was to change in to PJ's and play! Libs loved building towers with her Disney blocks...and then knocking them over!Another perk of visiting the grandparents...ice cream with Granpa!!! We are looking forward to a restful weekend with the family!

One more funny note: on the drive up Libi kept saying, "It's not my fault!" I think this is another quote that she heard at school, since that's not something we say at home.

Today Libs had another school day and I had another sick day.Thank heavens for preschool this week or Miss Libs wouldn't have had any fun with me! Today she made this self portrait-- it's just like looking in a mirror :)Today I was informed that I am the room parent for the Michevious Monkeys-- yippee!!! Now I get the class roster :)Poor Libs she woke up from her nap with a VERY bloody nose! Ron reached the top of the stairs to find our daughter looking like an extra from a horror movie.Daddy was an excellent nurse who tried to stop the bleeding, but to no avail. We stuck her in the tub to clean her up, calm her down, and get her to coagulate. Ron is also an amazing launderess as he got all of the blood and ketchup stains out of her shirt-- he's such a keeper!!!

I am so lucky to have such a hands-on husband. This week as I have been suffering with my sore throat, runny nose, and general tiredness Ron has really picked up all of my slack! Thanks honey for all you do for our family :)

Catch!

There was more "baking" going on at Nana and Pop's house today.Our visit also included the obligatory bike ride and the new addition of carrot picking.Libi was really funny today playing with lots of utensils that Nana hid for her in the basket. She loved the plastic knives, bamboo skewers, and butter knife-- until Pop determined they were too dangerous and took them away :)We also had a rousing game of catch! Libi would throw it overhanded to me, I would toss it to Pop and then Pop would throw it to Libs.She did catch it a few times, but I think she had more fun dropping it and chasing after it.
In the evening Ron and I attended the Parent Meeting at SCLP while Libs stayed home with Aunt Andrea and Aunt Violet. To reward ourselves for being such dedicated parents we went to dinner at Backwoods Inn. The things we do to have to get date nights :)

Pizza and Preschool

Today was another preschool day. Libi learned all about "warm fuzzies"-- I think the concept was above her as was the "craft" they sent home (a baggie with a cotton ball and a piece of tin foil.)

She is getting glowing reports these days. I think it is helpful that Miss Tasha is back full-time.
Due to the awful air quality the kids can't go outside and they let the parents in early so I got some videos of story time and...

part of the sweet goodbye song.When we got home Libs unwound by playing with her neglected magnet board. In between her re-telling everything she heard at school today I heard things like, "My Lincoln", "Miss Karen torpedo arms", and "Excelllllent!"We are very independent these days-- getting dressed and undressed is a skill that Libi is determined to master.Shoes are easy... socks pose more of a challenge.I left the room for a moment and returned to find Libi using Daddy's socks as puppets.I'm not sure that I'm crazy about her using dirty socks, but I'll give her points for her creativity :)Mommy had a meeting tonight so Daddy was in charge of dinner and he chose English muffin pizzas.Libi is getting to be quite a master at making her own...but her enthusiasm keeps us on our toes :)
